Overview & Projections
Last week, weather played a significant role in the market. Many drivers were hesitant to return to the road after the Thanksgiving holiday, which added to the market turbulence. As winter storm warnings begin to decline, coverage is expected to improve this week. However, keep in mind that as colder weather sets in, shippers will often switch to reefer trailers to protect their cargo from freezing. This can lead to tighter market conditions in colder regions.
